Black belt Jorge Britto added yet another MMA win to his MMA career, on the 27th of last month in Edmonton, Canada, needing only 37 seconds to successfully defend his under 73kg (160 lbs) CCF title belt.

The Oscar’s ceremony was almost split down the middle between two super-productions: “Avatar” and “The Hurt Locker”.
The curious part is that in both movies the main characters use Jiu-Jitsu positions in confrontation situations. In “Avatar”, the blue creature sinks a perfect triangle to subdue one of the giant birds that serve as a means of transport.

Nova União teacher Bruno Bastos was the big name at the Houston Open, winning the absolute division this Saturday. After going past Stephen Hall (Alliance) in the semifinal and Ben Baxter (Lovatos) in the final, Bruno confirmed the favoritism in the open weight division.
