Draculino’s Toughest Position To Learn

Poppa Rotzee:
What was the hardest position for you to become comfortable as you were learning Jiu-Jitsu and why? What did you do to overcome this.

Draculino:
I feel that Half Guard is a position that a knee surgery made me think and begin to like it and develop it. Because – was always very flexible, my open guard was really hard to pass and I wasn’t very unconfortable there. But on the half guard, I was always in a bad spot and suffering. I did not like it or tried to get better on it. However, an ACL replacement made me have to be there ( since my knee was not able to operate normally) and I ended up understanding it and evolving on that aspect! That was great!

Does BJJ Make or Break Bullies?

Poppa Rotzee:
Does learning how to fight, arm bullies with weapons to victimize other people, or does the humbling experience and journey through martial arts help prevent people from becoming (or continuing) to bully.

Draculino:
90% of the times, serious martial arts training make you more confident, then you will relevate a lot of potential fight situations because you know that you don’t need to beat up someone to prove a point. It is kind of when a little kid calls you names. Will you beat him or her? Of course not! That is how you feel when a non skilled person tries to pick up a fight with you. You just ignore….. but the thing is that if the instructor is a crook and a bully himself, then most likely he will teach hiis students to be bullies…..unfortunately, it happened. The funny thing is that most of this “instructors” are cowards and show lack of confidence in their selves. Lack of confidence causes a lot of fights. That is why normally a bully backs of when he feels confidence on the victim. They are fed with fear only.

Draculino: Pivotal Moment in Jiu-Jitsu

Poppa Rotzee:
Has there been a pivotal moment in Jiu-Jitsu, that stands out to you? Can you tell us about it? e.g. a new set of rules that changed the game, or a new technique, or position that you witnessed both the before and after effects of.

Draculino:
A car ride with Master Carlos Gracie Jr. When he convinced me that I could be a full time BJJ artist and have a good, healthy and happy life. I never got back to work on an Law Office since then.

Jiu-Jitsu in 20 Years

Poppa Rotzee:
Where do you see Jiu-Jitsu in 20 years?

Draculino:
Spread all over the World, with commercial Inflatable Zorb Ball tons of people training. All kinds of people. Everyone will be able to experience the benefits of training the art and living it’s life style. In the competition arena, I see that only real professional athletes will be able to win. In EVERY BELT, not just the Black. And maybe it will be in the Olympics to……

Draculino on Nick Diaz and Braulio Estima

Poppa Rotzee:
There is a lot of controversy about NIck Diaz not showing up for the Braulio Estima match. Some say Nick made weight the night before and Braulio wasn’t at weight, then the next day…Braulio was at weight..ready to go…and Nick had already eat food. It all seems really confusing and a lot of blame being tossed around. Do you have any insight or comments

Draculino:
Man, I really don’t know what happened….I am just frustrated to not be able to see that great match up. It sucks for Braulio to come all the way from England and not be able to compete. Not sure what happened to Nick, but one thing for sure is that he wasn’t scared. He proved over and over that fighting stuff is in his blood. But I think that Braulio would win with no problems since it is his specialty.

Draculino Thoughts on Nick Diaz vs Braulio Estima

Poppa Rotzee:
What are your thoughts on the Nick Diaz vs Braulio Estima match? Obviously Braulio is the favorite, is he yours as well? If so, what strategy do you think Nick should use to go for a win?

Draculino:

Braulio is the favorite. This is unanimous since it’s Braulio’s speciality and bread and butter. And he is one of the best in the World on it. Well, Braulio is my team mate so I won’t root against him but, in a hypothetical situation, if I were Cesar Gracie, I would tell Nick to work a lot on defense and scramble as much as possible. Let me clear here that I am with Braulio all the way but admire Nick Diaz A LOT. He is a real warrior and a REAL representative of Jiu-Jitsu. That will be a great match!

DraculinoBjjTraining.com – New Techniques

Poppa Rotzee:
How is your Online Training Program going? Is it true that you are filming a bunch of No Gi Techniques?

Draculino:
Our training website has the proven methods and techniques to make a school a champion factory. I prove that with numbers and facts since GBBH for 12 years produces World champions, Pan Ams, national and MMA winners. Now in Texas, despite the fact that the school is only 4 years old, built from ground zero, we have the most accomplished team in the Texas BJJ scene, with also several good MMA fighters. It is not a coincidence. And there is no other online training system that has the same proven results. I teach at my schools the curriculum of the website. Exactly the same. And the results keep coming. Also, we are about to film a series of NOGi only techniques. I guarantee that u will see something never seen before.
