Gurgel enters European as adult

Fabio Gurgel will no longer compete at the European in the masters and seniors division, he informed reporter Ivan Trindade. The move was for a good reason, though, as he will test his mettle at adult, as a heavy weight.

Soca Receives Rangers' Instructor in Long Island

Soca’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team, by Professor Alexandre Carneiro, received a visit this week by fellow Brazilian Pedro Lacerda, a black belt from Gracie Barra and a member of the US Army Rangers, the elite American army.Lacerda lives in the US state of Georgia, where he trains his colleagues in the art of Jiu-Jitsu, and was once champion of the prestigious tournament for servicemen, the Army Combatives Championship.
