Topic: How to prevent losing large amounts of skin off your feet? (doing JJ)

So, I seem to be one of the lucky few who constantly lose skin from my feet when rolling.  It seems I have the tender skin of a new born baby on my feet coupled with the fact I have the toes of a monkey that curl up sharply at the joint.

As a result, if I roll without taping my toes up I WILL lose the skin off the tops of 2-6 toes each time.  If I don't wear socks (and I HATE to be the guy wearing socks.....) I lose skin off the tops and sides of my feet.  I am not talking a the first layer of dead skin....I lose down through the first layer of skin....and then get to live with open soars/pain for days until they heal, which takes 4-7 days.

I have tried a few things:
Taping the toes/feet - it is a pain in the ..... doing it each time a roll
Wearing socks - as I said...hate to be "that guy" - I looked at the "grappling socks", but those seem just as bad.
Put on "Invisible Bandage" before I roll - helped slightly, but still got a few sores.
Just put up with it and hope that I develop callous' - this just resulted in opening up the sores over and over.

Any ideas on what I could put on my feet to toughen up the skin and prevent this???

I have this problem as well, although I don't think its quite as bad as what you are describing. Its due to dragging your feet on the mat. I not exactly sure how to prevent other than be aware of the reason its happening. Staying up on your toes seems to help.
