Re: Caveman Training

does anyone know where one can read about what an ideal training schedule for a bjj player would look like? I am really concerned about overtraining and injury that can result from this.

at the moment i am training as follows:

monday: BJJ - 2 hours
tuesday: Judo - 1 Hour, Weight Training/conditioning - 1 hour
wednesday: BJJ - 2 hours
thursday: Judo -1 Hour, Weight Training/conditioning - 1 hour
friday: BJJ - 2 Hours
saturday - free bjj/judo sparring - 1.5 hours

Many people use tuesday and thursday to recover, but my question is more like what is an optimal schedule?

Unless your a professional fighter or compete professionally in jiu jitsu, that is too much for the avg person. With that amount of intense training the recovery time needed is high, thus probably requiring the sleeping habits of a baby and a strict diet.
