Anderon says that he owes what he is today to Minotauro
Fausto asks him what he did before being a fighter. Anderson says that a lot of people in his family are cops, but he wanted to play football. One day he went to train and he liked it.
Fausto says that in the US, Japan, and other European countries he is like a god, and asks why is it different in Brazil? Anderson says it's a new sport, and says that there are lots of Brazilian champions.
Later on he says that he prepares to fight the best and the guys in the UFC are considered the best. He says Demian is a great representative of Jiu-Jitsu.
When they start showing the fight, Anderson describes it saying that he started off tense but thankfully everything went ok. Fausto says that the type of behavior, some people see it different ways, but it happens a lot in football. He asks Anderson what he thinks now, after the fight. Anderson says that it's complicated because you train 3, 4 months for a fight, there's tension, people say things to you, and you have to promote the fight. Fausto asks him if promoting the fight turns a fight into a war. Anderson says that a fight's a fight, they are professional, they fight and then it's over.
Fausto asks him if he takes anything outside of the ring with him and he says no way, he has nothing against any of his opponents, nothing against Demian, he respects his work. Then they bring Demian out.
Fausto asks Demian about preparing and promoting a fight, Demian says promotion is normal, it's normal for people to say things before a fight, then he talks about the fight saying that it started out a little warm and then started to heat up, and that's it.
Then Fausto asks if this type of tactic will always be part of his personality that people have to accept or is does he end up reviewing what he does in life and in the sport. Anderson says that he is always learning, he says a large part of life is that you're always learning, with errors and successes. He says he's there to speak to his fans and show what he thinks. He thinks he did well, he used his gameplan and beat Demian's, Demian is a specialist in his art even though he (silva) trains as well, although his Jiu-Jitsu is nowhere close.
Fausto comments that Anderson is highlighting his opponent's strengths and that it was a strategy and that at no time did he want to disrespect. Anderson agrees saying that he didn't get where he is as a champion of 4 different events by disrespecting anyone. He thinks it was the contrary, that what brought him there was humility.
The first question is that, they said that talking and promoting a fight is normal, but this week Dana White gave an interview and said that if Anderson repeated what he did in his next fight, he would be cut. To what extent is this type of stuff permitted, what cant you do? Anderson responds saying that you can't do things like hit to the back of the head, stomp on them when they're on the ground, but everything else is ok. Then Anderson says "He can say whatever he wants, he's the owner of the event!"
Then next question for Demian asks if he looks up to someone. He says that since he comes from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which is a Brazilian creation, and he's very proud to represent it, so the Gracie family because they created it, and Minotauro and Wanderlei because they are friends and idols. He ends by saying that for you to be an idol, you have to be an idol all the time, in everything that you do.
Fausto ends by talking about MMA saying that it's a sport, the fighters fight under rules, they respect each other, they are prepared, there are categories, and it's a lot different than street fighting. Demian and Anderson chime in saying that a true athlete isn't fighting in the streets and they have a responsibility.
