PM's are a must, Colby says they are coming soon, but another great option, would be an IM / IRC style instant chat, so you can chat directly with online members.

I don't think you are using wordpress on the backend, but something similar to buddypress / buddypress-ajax-chat, as i have implemented on my site i am working on www.poppletoncomputing.com.au
would be nice.

I'm down for adding live chat into the forums. I just want to wait at least a few weeks until the forums start filling up.  Otherwise the chat room would be empty most of the time, which obviously would suck!

We are averaging around 4 or 5 people on at a time right now. I think it would REALY help with the Portuguese learning thing we got going here. It would help with conversation and using the words.
