Re: Whats your daily diet look like?

Bobby,

You have a good plan, but without looking at the actual numbers it would be difficult to judge if its enough food, calories, and distribution of macro nutrients (proteins, carbs, fats).  I do know with your age and the amount of working out that you do you will definitely have to have a lot of calories in your diet, just to maintain the weight you are at now.  Since you are looking to add a few lbs of lean muscle mass, that will mean even more calories.  You may have to look into upping your Protein and Carb intake to help you with your lean muscle mass gain.  Which will be a start in upping your calories.  Just my .02

Re: Whats your daily diet look like?

Yes I prepare stuff like chicken and turkey breast usually on Sundays, If I run out during the week I throw some more on the grill.  It takes about 25-30 mins tops.  Most of the other stuff I just pack each day, or take to work with me and have some at work and some at home.  It definitely saves me money.  I am spending about the same amount of money on groceries but I was buying breakfast, snacks, and lunch at work, there is a deli in my building and I would spend roughly $10-$15 a day on food, and it killed my pocket!  So now I'm eating better and saving money YES!!!! LOL

I don't micro manage my diet.  That is time and effort intensive and over the long haul, at least for me, not likely.

I just eat healthy food, eat every four hours or so which when your body adapts to stops the hunger cravings, and only count calories when my favorite belt hole gets to tight.

Wake up: MRP drink.  This drink has fat, protein and slow carbs.

mid morning snack: MRP drink or protein bar.

lunch: chipotle burrito bowl if I'm at work.  Anywhere from between 550-800 calories. The chipotle website has a great calorie counter adds as you check off ingredients.

mid lunch:MRP or protein bar

Dinner: whatever me or my wife cook

bedtime: regular protein drink.

After workout I drink my own concotion of meladextrose and flavorless protein mixed in with sugar free koolaide.
