Thoughts on Miguel Torres getting fired from UFC

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

POPPA ROTZEE:
Miguel Torres quoted an unclassy line from a Fox television show “Its always sunny in philidelphia” ( a show hosted on Fox, the new home for the UFC ) Dana white fired him on the spot. This comes after a long line of fighters getting in trouble for tweets.

The difference is, Dana forgave the other two fighters (Forrest Griffen for saying “Rape is the new missionary position” and Rashad Evans saying “hes going to put his hands on that guy worse than that coach did them little kids from penn state”. Dana forgave them saying, it happens and he is the first one to forgive for mistakes.

But with Miguel Torres, it looks like there was no forgiveness. What are your thoughts on this? In a poll I conducted, most people agree that there should of been A PUNISHMENT, but that firing him was too harsh.

DRACULINO:
I agree with the pool. You can never have inconsistency….I agree that the fighters have the duty of being role models and give good examples since they are public figures and they are idols for children. So a warning and official apologize is ok, like it was for Rashad and Griffin. but expelling…..I don’t know.

The Ultimate Fighter Coming To Brazil!

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

POPPA ROTZEE:
So TUF is coming to Brazil with to very exciting fighters. Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort. What are your thoughts on this? Is it exciting to see TUF showcase the motherland, and who will you be pulling for?

DRACULINO:
That will be a great way to expose MMA to the masses in Brazil since GLOBO TV is number one in audience in the country. It is open TV watched by hundreds of Millions of people. I am just PRAYING that the fighters will behave in a professional way, showing that we are not thugs or dumb people. Even though it is changing, in Brazil, there is a lot of prejudice about fighters because in the past, some street fights gave us a bad name. A few people killed the work of the majority.
In regards to the coaches, Victor is faster, maybe more technical e precise, but Wand has something that it cannot be teach, HEART and STAR. He pulls things and make it happen. It will be a great fight!

Draculino – Thoughts on up coming Strikeforce MMA fight

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

It is good to feel the itch again to test myself on the ring. That was something dormant there, a sleeping dragon, that is alive again. I feel the hunger and I am training hard here in Brazil, in all elements and trying to stay healthy and injury free (it is not as easy as before). Trying to train while being a full time instructor is tuff, it is good technically because you are always experimenting and evolving. But to get in physical shape, you need to push yourself and train constantly. Although it is harder to find time to train, It is very rare that I don’t train or exercise myself every day of my life. I have good expectations for this fight and I’m in it to test myself and have fun, win or lose.

Draculino iPhone Application

We are EXTREMELY happy to announce our first two iPhone apps are live and ready for purchase!

These applications are “Blue Belt: Basic” and “Blue Belt: Complete” and cover the techniques I feel are essential for every blue belt to know. After looking at the content available online, it was obvious to me that we could do better – and we have! We have high quality instructionals teaching techniques with proper form and movement, we have great camera angles (just like the online training site), and the application is easy to use. Technique wise, we cover everything from the basic mount escape to arm bars, triangles, and take downs.

If you want to be able to learn wherever you are, download the app! Check out the apps in the store: Draculino BJJ Training: Blue Belt – Complete and
Draculino BJJ Training: Blue Belt – Basics. You need to click the “…More” link at the top of the page to see all of the details.

Also, stay tuned as we have another HUGE announcement coming soon that will shake up the way you learn and train!

Besides Sapo and Lutter, TIm Sylvia won the main event, beating the strongest Man on earth, Marius Potsdan by Tap out and Yves Edward lost in a real close decision to WEC veteran, Mike Campbell.
