From Generation to Generation

Draculino grew up and was forged amongst a pack of legends. The amount of talent on a single mat, during Draculino’s training years is enough to make your head explode. Steel sharpens steel and there is no magic to Jiu-jitsu. If you put in the time, you will get better. If you train with great people, you will become better.

This fact doesn’t mean, however, that you will become a great teacher. That takes another skill, whether developed or natural. Well Draculino was born to teach. He has made more champions than 10 people could count on both hands and still teaches almost every day. A great thing about being a Draculino student is…you actually get to train with Draculino. Here he is rolling with 2 of his black belts.

Draculino: “Gracie Barra is still #1” & “Jiu-jitsu changes lives” http://www.scramblestuff.com‬ — Vinicius ‘Draculino’ Magalhaes is a 4th degree Gracie Barra black belt. Part of the GB team since the 1980s, he shared a mat with many of the most famous names in jiu-jitsu, including the Gracies, the Machados and more.

With Gracie Barra academies of his own in the USA, Europe and Brazil, Draculino explains how the organisation was the perfect environment for him and his peers to grow, and why the team was (and still is, in his opinion) number one.

He also explains how jiu-jitsu isn’t just a sport or form of self-defence, but has the potential to truly change lives.

Filmed entirely at the Gracie Barra academy in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro.
