Draculino: The hardest lesson I ever learned

Poppa Rotzee:
What is the hardest lesson you ever had to learn, the one that either you didn’t want to accept or maybe hurt the most…or maybe just took you the longest to learn?

That sometimes when you are getting ready for a big competition or fight, that MORE can be LESS. In my opinion, it is better to be UNDER trained than OVER trained. At least with me and my athletes. In 2006 I was training for a MMA event in Brazil that got 3 fights in one night. I trained 4 months for the event and was in the best shape of my life. One night, after an exausting session in the morning and afternoon, I felt that I could go more and decided to do a BJJ session, Grappling only. My body was really tired and sore but I went anyway. What happened? Blew my ACL. 6 month no training…..not cool and it was a lesson learned.
